Long & Slow! Experience a delicious afternoon of seasonal delights paired with much-admired wines created by five passionate chefs. Rob Gough from Settlers Tavern has pulled together an amazing lineup including Tony Howell of Cape Lodge, Dany Angove of Leeuwin Estate, Aaron Carr of Vasse Felix and Franco & Lella Gimelli from Relish. Local produce will be the hero in a rustic lunch feast including generous shared platters of spit-roasted lamb, seafood and other delicacies served alfresco in the stunning gardens at Leeuwin Estate. Sitting amongst the native karri stands will be a chance to slow down and savour the unique sense of place the region has to offer.

Join one of Australia's leading and most influential wine critics along with a homegrown winemaking superstar for a behind the senses insight and tasting into what makes Margaret River's wine styles so iconic. With sessions dedicated to the hero varieties of the region Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc blends, Chardonnay, Shiraz plus Cabernet Sauvignon, you will learn some of the secrets that go into creating these wines along with some expert tips on how to evaluate the wines.

Vanya is a trailblazer of biodynamics and her family run a carbon neutral winery Cullen Wines and Jeremy is the first Australian writer to develop a wine guide in Chinese. Join them for one or more of the 45 minute sessions discovering a line up of Margaret River classics along with some rising stars and you too can swill with the best!

If you love wine, food, laughter and, of course, Petanque, then head down for a weekend packed with all of this at the Margaret River Region Festival.

Pistes set amongst the vines at the Wise Wine estate, located overlooking the pristine native bush and waters of Geographe Bay, will host this years Vin Fete event.

There will be prizes of Wise Wine and the overall winners will claim the Barrelhead Trophy.
